Sam Hanson

BIO:

Sam Hanson, from Baltimore, Maryland, was what the scene calls a “rider’s rider”. While maintaining a relatively low profile to the mainstream scene, the people who really paid attention knew his skills, Soil Thornton being one of them.

Sam found himself as part of the WRAHW bloodfam in 2011 alongside BMore Fixed friend Colin Foster. Together, Sam and Colin were the heart of the Baltimore scene, creating content and products consistently. Sam would go on to start Balhogs, a Fixed Gear softgoods brand.

Sam was well known for his love for the 29er bike. When he was put on the Hold Fast team, he was one of the first to test and ride the Converter29 frame. He also had a pair of signature reflective Hold Fast straps.
