Red Bull Ride + Style 2013

ABOUT:

Red Bull Ride + Style 2013 was the 3rd of 4 annual fixed gear freestyle and track racing events hosted by Red Bull at Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco. The trick portion of the event was invite only to compete.

Notable aspects of this event:

• First time notable Thai riders Dew Sippawit and Jaoa Danaikrit visited the states to compete. Jaoa placed top 10.
• Judges included Locked Cog’s Kris Fay, legendary BMX rider Edwin Delarosa and legendary fixed gear rider Edward Laforte.
• Torey Thornton was supposed to judge, but didn’t show up.
• Addison Zawada, 2012 Ride + Style race winner, opted to compete in freestyle and landed a backflip in his run.
• Notable Japanese riders Nasty and Marco attended to the event.
• Tom La Marche was invited, but didn’t attend.
• Mike Schmitt MC’ed the event
