BIO:
Phillip Arellano is a former FGFS rider turned BMX figure. Originally from the Fresno area, Phil owned Skid & Destroy bike shop. He would end up relocating to Los Angeles after the closing of the shop in 2013 where he would meet and befriend surrounding Fixed Gear and BMX riders.
While mostly staying behind the scenes, Phil’s web edits would garner some of the highest view counts in the scene. His photography was also being praised among the community in a time where photo content was becoming more scarce. Lockedcog would hire him as a guest blogger to contribute original photos to the blog around 2014.
Around the same time, Jonathan Davis and Gus Molina were creating the brand Altar Tribe, where Phil would eventually join the team to help run apparel production and content creation.

Phil’s media literacy and skills helped create high quality production value in his biking videos which eventually led to a job with the famous BMX brand, OSS, which would lead him to becoming a notable figure in the BMX community.
While Phil continues to ride BMX, he still keeps a close eye on the Fixed Gear scene.
