Mike Carney

BIO:

The godfather of progressive trick riding in the Minneapolis area, Mike Carney was one of the first riders in the area to make the jump from flat ground Trick Track style riding to more BMX oriented style riding.

Being in the Minneapolis area, he often rode with Jeff Frane, founder of All-City Cycles and became one of their first team riders. He was one of the first to try out and ride the famous All-City Dropout frameset.

In June of 2009, Mike became the first person to ever grind a handrail on camera (the first actually being Jesse Hilliard on the same rail, but it was only shot as a photo).

Mike furthered cemented his status as early FGFS pioneer by appearing in the famous Bootleg Sessions v.3 and v.4 DVDs, starring in the Minneapolis group sections.
