Midwest Mayhem

ABOUT:

Midwest Mayhem was the first of 3 annual events hosted by Sam Erickson, Antonio Wothe, and Kris Sundet in Wisconsin. This year was held at Cream City Skatepark, but the venue would change for the next two years to 4 Seasons skatepark. It was one of the first times nearly all the major U.S. fixed gear freestyle riders in 2010 were at the same event including Ed Wonka, Tom La Marche, Tom Mosher, Eric Puckett, Mike Schmitt, Soil Thornton, John Watson, and many more.

Notable aspects of this event:

• Mike Carney hurt his ankle during warm ups
• Tom Mosher was a judge because he got injured during warmups
• Mike Schmitt and Taylor Dwight tied for 3rd place
• Wonka’s wall ride was one of the biggest tricks done on a fixed gear at the time
