Josh Boothby

BIO:

Josh Boothby is a BMX rider turned FGFS pro from the Bay Area in Northern California. His colorful personality and clean tricks got him noticed in 2010, and he only continued to progress from there.

Josh became one of the top riders in the scene late 2010, where he landed big sponsors including Leader Bikes and Resist parts. After winning the Red Bull Ride + Style contest in 2012, he then became the only fixed gear freestyle rider to be sponsored by Red Bull.

Josh continued to dominate the scene with big, clean tricks and numerous NBD’s (Never Been Done tricks). He became known for his consistent backflips in contests and always was a contender for first place wherever he showed up.

Boothby went on an FGFS hiatus after 2016, making rare appearances at events but for the most part MIA. Speculations on why include Josh starting a family and being injured. In 2020 he resurged in the San Francisco Sideshow Wheel Talk video and has been actively riding since.
