Jonathan Davis

BIO:

Jonathan Davis, better known as JD, was a BMX racer and motocross rider turned FGFS pro in 2010, when he was first put on the Leader Bikes team. Growing up in the Riverside, CA area, he would meet pro rider Gus Molina, where the two would often make videos and content together. Davis now resides in Idaho.

JD was known for his balls to the wall attitude and no fear take on riding, hitting some of the biggest handrails in the FGFS scene to date. His fast riding and BMX influenced riding was popular among the scene.

Jonathan found himself a string of bad luck when it came to frame sponsors. After being added to the Leader bikes team in 2011, the company no longer had their Mordecai frames in stock and would not be restocking on freestyle frames for another year, so he left and joined Unknown Bikes. After leaving Unknown Bikes for SE Bikes in 2012, SE shortly after dispersed their Fixed Gear program, leaving Davis sponsor-less. He then landed on the Grime Bikes team, which also didn’t last long after Grime Bikes discontinued operations in 2013. Finally, he was put on the SKYLMT team, which never got off the ground and was discontinued in 2014.

Davis was typically what you would consider an “edit rider”, meaning he didn’t attend many competitions and instead opted to ride the streets, although that didn’t stop him from a 2nd place finish at the Red Bull Ride + Style competition in 2013. He has managed to put out some of the heaviest street edits to date, with his last one being a section in Can’t Fool The Youth 3 in 2013.
