Corey San Agustin

BIO:

Corey San Agustin is a SoCal based FGFS pro. He is one of the few remaining pro FGFS riders still riding 29″ wheels. Although he made a brief appearance in a 2012 edit for All-City on a 26″ Airwolf frame, he decided he didn’t love it and switched back to his 29″ bike.

Corey made his come up in 2010 in Long Beach riding frequently alongside Matt Spencer and Congo. He would appear in Wolf Drawn and City Grounds edits frequently before being added to the All-City and City Grounds teams. His 29″ pegless no fear riding got eyes on him throughout the scene.

When All-City disbanded their team in 2013, Corey joined the Destroy team on their 29er frame, which he would ride while filming for his entire Stay Strapped section. He was the only rider to appear on 29″ wheels in the entire DVD.

Although not typically a competition rider, Corey has had breakout performances in the best trick categories of multiple Suck My Comp contests, winning the category in 4 out of 6 of the contests. His riding mostly shines through web edits and video sections though, with his Stay Strapped section being highly regarded throughout the community.

Corey’s crashes have been seen as some of the most brutal crashes in the sport’s history. In 2010 at the end of his About Time edit, he clips a stair and falls on his face; in 2011 while in Texas, he attempted a rail hop where he clipped the rail and lacerated a kidney; in 2012, he attempted to tuck no-hander off a roof drop for an edit where he shattered his foot; and in 2020 while filming a phone clip he fell on his face and was rushed to the hospital.

Naturally through Corey’s ties with Matt Spencer, in 2022 he was officially added to the Ruff Bike Co. team, where he was given a one off custom 29er frame.
