All-City Dropout Frame

Description:

If the Big Block is our dream trackie then the Dropout is our ideal bike for all around mayhem and alley exploring.  However you choose to build it up:  fixed brakeless, two brakes and a freewheel, coaster brakes, polo, dirt, etc.  The Dropout is a platform for pretty much anything you want to do that involves 700c, large tires and hard riding.  It can handle trails, jumps, errands, bars, hardcourt, messengering, whatever.  It’s the ultimate get around, bash around, knock around city machine.  It’s fast, fun, and comfortable.

The Dropout comes with all of our standard hallmarks, custom headbadge, signature dropouts with built in tensioners and thoughtful design.   It also sports a machined headtube that takes a Campy 45/45 internal headset because good quality headsets are available at very reasonable prices in this standard, and BMX bikes have proven its toughness and reliability.  Instead of paint this baby is ED coated for rust prevention and then powdercoated for ultimate finish durability.   The 990 BMX studs are removable, as is the rear brake cable routing.

In short the Dropout is an extremely capable urban platform that can be built up in a myriad of configurations to suit your riding style and needs.  There are a ton of ways to have fun on this bike.

And yes it will barspin a 700c wheel in all sizes no problem.

Frame: 100% full 4130 ChroMoly steel. Double butted down, top, and seat tubes.  Top and down tube gussets at the head tube.

Fork: Fully Heat treated 4130 ChroMoly tapered fork blades and steerer tube, custom fork ends with integrated lawyer tabs.

Internal Headset:  Campy 45/45.  It’s hard to argue with any standard with the word “Campy” in it.

Signature Dropouts: 4130 investment cast AC signature dropouts featuring built in tensioners.

Steel tubing: Steel is the only choice for a bike that you can ride all day and beat the crap out of in total comfort.

Freestyle Geometry: A hyrbid of track, BMX, and mountain which is comfortable enough to ride all day, gives plenty of bar spin clearance, minimal toe overlap, and provides a nice platform for bunny hops.  It sliders like a dream, and puts smiles on children’s faces.

Tire clearance: 38c’s in the frame with the wheel slammed all the way forward in the dropout (pull it back for more clearance), 47c’s in the fork
